It's going to be a beautiful fall day

The furnace clicked on at about 4:30 am. We are going into autumn for sure now. Socks in the morning, extra blankets on the beds, warm sunny days and cool crisp nights.

Jean & Paige & Autumn (sheltie-dog) arrived. We spent the afternoon baking a cake, walking to the pond, prepping and cooking dinner, and talking. Today we will have breakfast, do a couple of house projects and then go downtown for the Heritage Days Festival.

We made a wonderful chicken pasta dish and a killer Orange Pound Cake. I will post recipes later, so you can enjoy them too!

And I have added a "Links" box to this site, for anyone who wants more information on the subject of breast cancer facts, treatments and supportive options.

It's going to be a beautiful fall day.

Hey, Pam,
do you believe i've really entered the "comment on blog" age? you're the only person who could entice me to do it. excuse the lack of capitalization...i hate that...this stupid non-healing collarbone. i loved reading your blog... tell bill i hate that word also. i've missed you these past years and it's nice to read your thoughts,plus...you're an incredible writer. i'm so sorry that you have to go through this cancer thing and wish you were still on palmer ave. so i could hug you, drink wine together and bring you dinner although, let's face it...my dinners pale in comparison to yours. i'll be checking in with you, thinking of you and praying for you. keep those blogs coming...love, terry
ps is a blog comment supposed to be like a letter? i'm not up on blog rules, decorum, protocol. frankly this seems moe like an e mail except anyone can read it.

I remember how we used to laugh (Miss Manners style) over our children's willingness to write "diaries" on the internet for everyone to read. Like "how dumb is that!!?" And here we now are, blogging along with the young whippersnappers. They've probably already moved on to something else, and we're just getting started on their passe phase. We are so uncool!

I Love you too, and hope that you heal and your capital letters come back soon. P
